Tourism Stakeholders “Experience Parts Unknown” and Prepare for Upcoming Season

On March 7th & 8th, the London Convention Centre will host nearly 250 tourism industry professionals as they learn about new ways to elevate their business at the 2017 Ontario’s Southwest Tourism Conference. The conference is an opportunity for delegates to network, learn about new trends and ensure they are up to date on the tourism industry. With a unique hands on experience, delegates of the conference will have the opportunity to “Experience Parts Unknown” and take a closer look at the unique opportunities the host city has to offer.

Currently, tourism in Ontario is growing at a healthy rate with more people choosing Ontario as their travel destination. In 2016, total inbound tourism was up 9.7%, including a 9.1% increase from the US; and outbound tourism was down 3.4%, showing more people are staying close to home.
