Imagine a media platform that provides teenagers the opportunity to cover news, explore food, art, and business, and report on concerts, plays and festivals throughout Ontario’s Southwest … well, this is exactly what happens at young & free press! The business is run by consultant Andrew Gunn, who is the owner and editor, and features four awesome high school students from St. Thomas. Together, the young & free press team cover news, culture & events across the region with a particular focus on London, St. Thomas, Elgin County, and Norfolk County.

The young & free press team will be travelling around Ontario’s Southwest every week throughout 2019. Check out their Instagram page and look especially for episodes of the show ‘Maddie & Andrew, Farm to Table’, presented by Fanshawe College, which features Andrew Gunn and seventeen-year-old journalist Maddie King visiting farms and reviewing restaurants!
